The design

A small story in the branches

One tūī perches beside a nest of eggs while another arrives in flight. Leafy branches connect the scene, with the birds and nest giving you a few details to notice each time you look.

Size and placement

Keep the nest in view

Choose a height that leaves the nest and both birds visible above your furniture. The listed dimensions cover the complete arrangement, including the bird in flight.

Dimensions are approximate. Metres are used from 1 m upward, and centimetres below 1 m. Measure your available wall space before choosing.

What arrives

The artwork shows two tūī, a nest with eggs and the surrounding leafy branches in the composition pictured.

Made to order in New Zealand in removable matte vinyl, printed with water-based inks.

Application tape holds the detail together while you transfer the artwork to the wall. It is removed after application.

Check your surface first

Best on a smooth, sound painted wall. Let new paint cure fully before installation. Removable does not mean reusable, and removal results depend on the paint and wall condition. Unsure about your finish? Send us a close-up photo before ordering.

How application-tape installation works
  1. Position the decal and use the side-hinge method shown in the guide, approximately 20 cm from the top.
  2. Remove the backing and smooth the artwork onto the wall as directed in the supplied guide.
  3. Remove the application tape last, leaving the artwork on the wall.

Where to find tūī in New Zealand

Tūī live in native forests, bush reserves and leafy neighbourhoods across New Zealand. Examples include Rangitoto Island in Auckland and Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne in Wellington. Their rich calls and white throat tufts make these nectar-feeding birds a distinctive part of our local birdlife.
