Sophie Blokker
Sophie Blokker is a New Zealand artist and illustrator whose work brings Aotearoa’s native flora and fauna vividly to life. From a young age Sophie has drawn inspiration from the natural world around her, capturing trees, birds, flowers, and landscapes with joy, colour, and energy.
Her art is both playful and elegant, offering a contemporary take on Kiwiana motifs including tui, fantails, koru, and intricate floral patterns. Each piece feels like a celebration of place, culture, and the beauty found in our everyday environment.
In collaboration with YDS Studio, Sophie’s illustrations have been reimagined as a collection of wall decals, printed in New Zealand using environmentally friendly materials. Her designs turn walls into joyful expressions of colour and nature, perfect for homes, nurseries, offices, or any space that celebrates Aotearoa.
