How the finish comes together
A simple guide to wet application.
For commercial glazing, we recommend professional installation. Our nationwide installation partners take care of alignment, the finish and the details.

Measure & clean
Measure each pane. Thoroughly clean the glass and frame edges, removing dust, grease and residue.
- 02
Mix & mist
Add 1–2 drops of plain, mild dishwashing liquid to 1 litre of clean water. Lightly mist the glass.
- 03
Peel & spray
Remove the backing liner and lightly spray the adhesive side with the same solution. Keep the adhesive clean.
- 04
Position & smooth
Slide the frosting into place. Squeegee firmly from the top and centre outwards with overlapping strokes to remove water and air.
- 05
Trim the edges
Carefully trim to fit with a suitable blade and straightedge. Avoid scoring glass or seals; leave the film clear of rubber and silicone.
- 06
Finish & let it settle
Re-squeegee the edges and wipe away water. Let the film bond and dry before cleaning, following the supplied film guidance.
General wet-application overview; follow the instructions for the film supplied. Use plain detergent without added moisturisers or perfumes. The film should not overlap seals. Wet-application reference.

Is this a wall decal or window film?
Despite its product name, Native Fern Frosted Wall Decal is designed for suitable glass surfaces. It is a frosted vinyl window film for commercial windows, doors and partitions.
Are the white ferns cut out?
No. The ferns are printed in white on top of the frosted vinyl. The frosting continues behind the printed design.
Can you make it to fit our windows?
Yes. We prepare the design to suit your glass panels and preferred coverage. Send approximate dimensions and photos to get started; final measurements and layout are confirmed before production.
Does it provide UV protection?
Frosted window films can reduce UV transmission, but performance varies by material and glazing. If UV protection is a priority, we will confirm the appropriate film and its specifications with your quote.
Can this help people notice glass doors?
Yes. The frosted panel and white fern pattern make clear glazing more visible. Contrast, positioning and background conditions matter, so any required manifestation standards should be checked for the specific project.
Do you install outside Hawke’s Bay?
Yes. We coordinate professional installation throughout New Zealand. Include your project town or city and any access details in the form below so installation can be included in your quote.
How do we clean the frosting?
Once the film has fully cured, clean gently with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner suitable for the film. Avoid abrasive pads and scraping the printed surface. We will confirm care guidance for the material supplied.
