Yes. YDS wall decals are available to order through any Resene ColorShop in New Zealand. You can see YDS decals on the walls and browse our lookbook at ColorShops around the country, rather than choosing from a screen alone.

Seeing an installed decal helps you appreciate the finish, printed detail and how the artwork sits against a painted wall. Bring your room ideas or wall colour along, then discuss your design, size and colour with the team. We make your chosen decal to order in our New Zealand studio.

What should I check when buying New Zealand wall art?

Look beyond the room photograph. Check where the piece is made, who created the artwork, its actual dimensions and what is included. Then check the material, suitable surfaces, installation method and care instructions.

Compare the complete cost for the size and finish you need, including framing, delivery or professional installation where relevant. A small starting price is not the price for every size. For a deadline, allow for both production and courier transit.

Yes. Our artist collaborations bring different styles to the range. FLOX’s Nature Unbound collection features native flora and fauna. How do I choose the right size and colour?

Measure the clear wall area, allowing for furniture, switches, doors and windows. Compare both the width and height with the product dimensions. For a group of separate pieces, check the size of each piece as well as the overall arrangement.

For eligible single-colour decals, our Colour Studio offers colour choices and physical sample requests. Check a sample in your own light before deciding, because screen colour is only a guide. Read about YDS colours and samples.

Are wall decals removable, and will they suit my walls?

Our standard wall decals use removable materials, but removal performance depends on the product, paint and finished surface. Removable does not mean every decal can be reused, or that every wall will be unaffected.

Decals generally suit smooth, clean, dry, sound painted walls. Fresh paint must be fully cured. Textured surfaces and some paint finishes can affect adhesion. Follow the instructions for your chosen product and paint system, and ask our team before ordering if you are unsure. Check any requirements for your rental property too.

Can I install the artwork myself?

Our online decals, mural dots and murals have DIY installation guidance. Watch the relevant installation video and read the instructions before you begin. The method varies: a detailed cut-out decal is different from a panelled mural.

For custom commercial projects, we can coordinate professional installation across New Zealand. Tell us your location and access requirements so the installation scope and timing can be agreed as part of your quote.

Can YDS create custom artwork for a home or business?

Yes. For personalised names, text and other made-for-you options, start with Create Your Own Wall Art. For a larger project, YDS Studio can develop a concept, adapt branding or work with supplied artwork.

Our custom work spans walls, glass, signage and interior graphics. Send a straight-on photo or plan, rough dimensions, your location and the result you have in mind. What should I know about materials and delivery?

Different products use different materials. Our recycled woven-fabric decals and murals use fabric made from recycled plastic bottles; that description does not apply to every vinyl, timber or other product. Check the product details and our materials and sustainability information for the range you are considering.

We make to order and deliver throughout New Zealand. Production and delivery timing vary by product and destination, with extra time needed for some rural deliveries. Check the current delivery guidance and contact us before ordering if you need your artwork for a particular date.
