PREPARE YOUR GLASS SURFACE
In order for your Frosted Decal to stick, you need a clean, smooth, dust free glass surface. Grab a cloth and give your wall a quick wipe down. Use a scrapper on the window to take off any dirt and any paint around the edges.
THE RUB DOWN
Put your Frosted decal onto a hard and flat surface, graphic side down. Firmly rub the Backing Paper onto the vinyl with the help of a squeegee or a credit card. This will adhere the vinyl onto the application tape better.
NOTE: For our Frosted Window Decals we recommend having a second person. It’s easier and more fun.
Using a spray bottle, spray water onto your glass surface so the whole area where the decal will be going will be wet. Take off the backing paper from your Decal leaving your frosted Window Decal on the application tape. Spray on the sticky side of the decal till it is wet. It’s also handy to lay down an old sheet to catch some running water!
SLAP IT ON
Position your Frosted Decal with the Application Tape onto your glass surface and slide into its correct place. The key here is making sure there is a lot of water on the glass and on the Decal so it slides around a little. Using a squeegee start to smooth your decal from top to bottom going from the middle to the outside to push out all the water.
THE PEEL OFF
Once your Decal is in place leave it to dry for about 2 hours. Once your decal has dried onto the glass start peeling the paper application tape off on a 45 degree angle from a top corner. As you do this you will notice that the Frosted Decal will remain on the surface. If the Decal starts to peel up while doing this then simply push it down and do it again.
Now that the paper application tape has been removed, go around the edges of the decal with a sharp craft knife and trim off any excess vinyl.
Well Done! You have now created a piece of art on your window as well as added privacy, security and all while letting in a lot of natural light. Bust out some bubbles and enjoy your new view!
