Q: I’ve just painted my walls – how long should I wait before installing my decals?
A: Good job, look at you go! We suggest that you wait at least 2-3 weeks to allow your paint to completely dry. During this time, your paint will degas releasing moisture which could cause your decal to lose stickiness, or even damage your wall when you eventually decide to change up designs for a new look.
Q: How long will it take to receive my decal once I order it?
A: Once you place your online order, we then print your decal details with your chosen size and colour and start production immediately. Making the Decals can take 1-5 working days – this depends purely on decal size and quantity of decals ordered. We then courier your decals overnight straight to your front door. Once our courier has collected your package, you will receive a tracking number from Go Sweet Spot so you can see exactly where your decal is.
Q: Do we do urgent shipping?
A: We sure do! Running behind on that last minute gift, presentation, business opening or reality TV Show? Don’t give up yet! Give us a call or text on 0273322548 and let us know what you need and when. We will let you know right away what we can do for you!
Q: I was looking at a decal on your website but it is not there anymore, can I still buy it?
A: We are always coming up with new ideas and change around the designs frequently. We also do short term collabs with other NZ artist. Just reach out and let us know what you are after and we will see what we can do!
Q: Do we accept exchanges and returns?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer exchanges or refunds for items purchased online due to change of mind. This is because all our decals are hand-made to order and we do not stock decals. In the unlikelihood that an item is sent incorrectly, we do offer an exchange or refund. For faulty items, the fault will be assessed by the Your Decal Shop Team and then either repaired, replaced or refunded.
Q: Can I create unique Custom Design Decal for my home or office?

Q: Can decals be re-used?
A: Most of our decals are meant for one-time application. Our Woven Fabric Decals (Mural Dots and selected decals) are repositionable and reusable. However, all of our decals can be removed easily with absolutely no damage to your walls. You are going to want to redecorate again at some point so removable Decals are the way to go!
Q: Will using Your Decal Shop decals cause damage to my walls?
A: Our Decals are designed with a low tack adhesive allowing them to be removable. If you find your decal is gripping on when you go to remove them, simply use a hairdryer to loosen he adhesive then remove. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee the safety of your walls as we don’t know what condition your wall is in of how it has been prepared. We have however been creating decals since 2012 and have had such good feedback on the application and removability of our decals. Q: Do the decals work on textured walls?
A: It does depend on the type of surface. Since every textured wall is different, we cannot guarantee the decals will stick properly. But there’s good news! Send us a photo of your surface to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will happily give you some expert advice.
Q: Are all these Decals made in New Zealand?
A: Yeah mate! Your Decal Shop is very proud to say that all our Decals are designed and manufactured in-house in NZ by us. All Decals are even made to order based on the specifications you choose on our website (size & colour). This way we can ensure your Decal is unique and perfect just for you.
Q: Are these Decals safe for me and the environment?
A: They sure are! We print only with water-based inks which are completely odourless and use ecological materials that are safe for children. Our decals are also safely packaged and couriered in recycled postal tubes.
